Thabo Mabogwane whose stage name is Thabo Smol is a reputable South African music artist. He is a Dj, producer, singer and song writer. Smol makes up one half of the South African afro house music group named the Black Motion, together with DJ Robert Mohasana.

Black motion as a group kicked off in 2011, they shared their first studio album same year, titled Talking To The Drums. Months later, the duo released more hit projects like; Fortune Teller and Ya Badimo.

Thabo Smol grew with his family at Soshanguve, north Pretoria in South Africa. He lived with his siblings and parents till he finished his education and ventured into music.

Thabo Smol is the stage name of the ,ale artiste as a single entity, together with Robert his other half they are referred to as Black Motion. However, the real name of Thabo Smol is Thabo Mabogwane.

Before Fame

It is believed that Black Motion started up in 2010, however a few other claim they formed in late 2009. However. in those days, they were not known. There first breakthrough was in 2011, when they released their first hit album.

Years later, they were recognized nationally as they won their first major award in 2017. The duo won two South African Music Awards, the first was Best Group of the Year in 2017 and they also won Best Dance Album in 2017.

Is Thabo Smol Married

Thabo has been having an intriguing love life. He is known to have been in a romantic relationship with Rakgadi Sedy Koetle, a South African business woman. While he was on the peak of his career, he shares the images of the lady on her social media. In June 2018, they welcomed their first daughter named Refentse. Shortly after they announced their break up.

Interestingly, the break up did not last long as they came back together again in 2020 after Rakgadi his baby mama congratulated and appreciated him on father’s day and stated they were back again. In December 2020, they sadly broke up again.

In 2021, a South African dancer,  Zodwa Wabantu stated that she had had an intimate moment with Thabo Smol while she was on Lasizwe’s Drink or Tell The Truth segment. Thabo confirmed the statement, but confirmed he dated the dancer while he was single, and further stated that fans and South Africans should respect his baby mama. Till this day, he has not revealed he is officially dating another woman.
