Ney – Vuka EP

Anele ‘Ney The Bae’ Zondo has finally released her highly anticipated EP “VUKA”. Despite having the name EP, the EP is closer to that of a full offering because of its length, subject matter, cohesive sound and overall thematic approach.

The EP sees Ney open with the song “Itching” featuring Maglera Doe Boy. The song sets the tempo for the project with its hard-hitting production. The following “110”, “SIMON SAYS”, “KUNINGI” follow the same suite. With the nature of new music Friday, one doesn’t quite have the time to fully digest music in a manner that would be fair to critique the product, however, what cannot be denied is Ney’s performance on this EP.

Her lyrics are purposeful and meticulously crafted at every juncture of this EP and this EP places Ney as one of the key individuals to look out for in the game. Listen to “VUKA” below.
