The originator of gqom, an electronic dance music genre that arose in Durban, South Africa, in the early 2010s, is Lwazi Asanda Gwala, better known by his stage name DJ Lag. In addition to releasing his own EPs, “UHURU” and “Steam Rooms,” he is well-known for his work on Beyonce’s album “The Lion King: The Gift.” in his latest song called  Kwenzakalani he featured Blxckie, Leodaleo and Dezzodigo.
